You will support our customer, a listed technology group, on site in Bremen. You will manage site-wide KPI generation including database management and provide specific support to space projects. Furthermore you will assist the head of department in the expansion of supply chain quality support service by engaging key stakeholders.
 
 
Role and responsibilities:

  • Managing execution and supply chain as well as quality aspects of the contract
  • Performing an effective control of supplier activities, securing a close understanding of supplier overall situation and scope
  • Implementing recovery, improvement and development plan in order to secure delivery of the products and services in conformity with contract
  • Coordination of the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management and secure coordination with the corresponding multi-functional or divisional team
  • Managing supplier quality approval/authorization, ensuring that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Acting as focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management and initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects
  • Working out short term recovery plans
  • Monitoring or supporting new product introduction to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase
  • Maintaining a close communication and coordination with the operational teams at internal customer sites, to ensure the contribution of all relevant functions to the delivery of procured goods or services
  • Providing consolidated forecast to suppliers and ensure that suppliers will have the required capacity
  • Assessing the supplier capacity, capability & performance and identify the supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions
  • Initiating and manage supplier performance improvement projects, set long term development targets together with the suppliers and in coordination with the supplier development Team
  • Presenting the situation of the supplier on operational performance (KPIs, assessments..) during meetings

 
Job requirements:

  • Completed degree in mechanical engineering,  aerospace engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in quality management
  • Service and customer orientated with high sense of responsibility and considerable diplomatic skills in connection with a good apprehension, high motivation and reliability
  • Sound knowledge of MS-Office and SAP
  • Willingness and ability to work with people across the globe
  • Strong English communication skills – both verbal and written
